Assessing acute cough in pre-schoolers through TB symptomatic screening: Insights from a five-year retrospective study
A small fraction of the 0–4-year-old cohort (2,909 of 363,544) presented with cough of less than two weeks, the TB detection rate within that group reached approximately 2.23%. These findings underscore the clinical importance of screening for tuberculosis among young children, even in cases of relatively short-duration cough, to facilitate prompt diagnosis and timely intervention.
