Biography

Okafor Vivian is a young public health Pharmacist working with Institute of Human Virology Nigeria as a program officer. I have 7 years’ experience working in TB programs and supply chain and logistics management. I have worked with private sectors to strengthen health outcomes through private providers. I am result-oriented and innovative. Consequently, I assisted in the design and roll out of the novel screening tools used at the outpatient department. I have also worked on other donor-funded projects.

Finding the missing people with TB through expanded public-private mix (PPM) engagement in Lagos State, Nigeria

Private facilities should not be restricted to private hospitals and clinics but should also include patent proprietary medicine vendors, traditional birth attendants, community pharmacies, and standalone laboratories. Therefore, to achieve a high level of commitment to ending TB by 2030 requires scaling up comprehensive strategies to enhance the expansion and collaboration of the PPM network.
