Biography

Uzma is a physician, public health implementer, researcher, and advocate for TB and the implementation of integrated, equitable health practices. She has extensive experience in the evaluation of TB programs; MDR-TB research; and provided TB technical assistance to numerous countries. Uzma also provides technical oversight to hepatitis C service accessibility improvements integrated with TB in Pakistan. She has been a member of the WHO EMRO's regional GLC, is currently a member of TBPeople Global and Canada, and a part of the endTB leadership. Uzma holds a MD and a Masters in Epidemiology from Harvard School of Public Health.
