Key Impacts
Treatment outcomes and post-treatment mortality among adults with drug-resistant TB in Sierra Leone: A national prospective cohort study
Despite effective treatment provision our results indicate high adverse outcomes among people with MDR/RR-TB in Sierra Leone underscoring the urgent need for holistic, person-centred interventions extending beyond active TB treatment, and providing an evidence base for their design.

Smarter screening, lower costs: A seven-country mixed-methods evaluation of novel TB diagnostic strategies from the Start4All consortium
In the multi-country Start4All study, low-cost, low-complexity diagnostic algorithms appeared feasible, acceptable, and able to maintain high diagnostic accuracy and yield, while reducing the cost-per-person with TB detected at PHC. These findings support broader evaluation of algorithmic TB diagnostic approaches in high-burden, resource-limited settings.
