Principais áreas de interesse: epidemiologia de doenças transmissíveis, saúde global e saúde da população negra.
The increasing trend in TBI incidence in Brazil may be related to advancements in infection prevention strategies. The Ministry of Health has taken significant steps, including surveillance through the IL-TB system, incorporation of the IGRA test into the Unified Health System, and the introduction of new tuberculosis preventive treatment (TPT) regimens, such as 3HP. These measures are expected to have a substantial impact on the End TB strategy, contributing to the goal of eliminating tuberculosis by 2050.
