The MiniDock MTB Test met WHO targets for both sputum and non-sputum based diagnostic tests. Sensitivity of both sample types exceeded smear, still widely used in many high-burden settings, and the sensitivity of sputum swab was comparable to sputum Xpert. Swab-based testing with MiniDock MTB Test shows promise as a near point-of-care method for TB detection.
