Biography

Dr. Tara Singh Bam is a Public Health Practitioner with a Doctorate in Public Health and a Master’s in Primary Health Care Management. Currently, he directs Asia Pacific Tobacco Control at Vital Strategies in Singapore. He provides technical assistance to governments in the Asia Pacific, advancing public health and One Health initiatives. A member of the WHO Civil Society Working Group for NCDs, Dr. Bam has over 25 years of experience in policy development, program management, and research in tobacco control, NCDs, TB, HIV/AIDS, and health system strengthening. He served The Union for 17 years, lastly as Regional Director for the Asia Pacific Office.
