Biography

Tapiwanashe is the Director of the Pan-African Treatment Access Movement (PATAM), a broad based movement which advocates for universal access to essential treatment and diagnostics. PATAM and the O’Neill Institute for National and Global Health Law formed the Diagnostics Equity Consortium (DEC) which aims to unite civil society across low- and lower-middle-income countries to increase awareness, accountability-directed advocacy, and the availability of essential diagnostics and imaging technologies. Tapiwanashe is a member of the Integrated Diagnostics Consortium, Future of Diagnostics Initiative, the Diagnostics Working Group the diagnostics expert panel of the Global TB Caucus.
