Key Impacts
Enhancing asymptomatic TB detection through active case finding initiatives using PDX machines and mobile X-ray vans in Lagos, Nigeria
Asymptomatic TB cases often go undetected due to a lack of symptoms, delaying diagnosis and increasing the risk of transmission. Implementing TB screening using chest X-rays, with or without computer-aided detection, in mobile clinics can enhance early detection, including subclinical cases by reaching communities. This proactive strategy is essential for achieving END TB targets and lowering the national TB burden.

Experiences with chest X-ray mobile vans and artificial intelligence software in TB screening and diagnosis at hard-to-reach areas in Lagos Nigeria
Use of CXR-AI was well integrated in hard-to-reach areas settings and seemed to have contributed to improved TB notification. Further interventions should consider a maximum funding for routine screening at hard-to-reach areas
