Key Impacts
Barriers and facilitators of tuberculosis treatment among Cameroon refugees in Nigeria: A mixed-methods study
Findings underscore the compounded barriers faced by Cameroonian refugees navigating TB care—where poverty, displacement-related vulnerability, and systemic health service gaps intersect. Addressing these challenges requires integrated approaches that link TB care with food security, financial protection, and stigma reduction, both within facilities and communities. Strengthening health systems to be inclusive of displaced populations, and enabling affected communities to shape responses, is essential to building equitable and resilient TB care in displacement settings.
