Biography
Sunil Savita is a committed public health professional with over 10 years of experience in TB program implementation, community engagement, and health system strengthening. As State Technical Advisor for Himachal Pradesh with The Union (ACSM-NTSU), he leads IEC and ACSM activities in collaboration with the State TB Office and NHM. With past roles at Operation ASHA and ICMR-NIRTH, Sunil brings expertise in partnerships, capacity building, and data-driven planning. He holds an MBA in Marketing and a Bachelor’s in Pharmacy, contributing to impactful, evidence-based TB control efforts.

After the media sensitization workshops in HP, media has emerged as a critical catalyst in the people’s movement against TB with a sustained increase in coverage on TB across versatile platforms. It indicates that a comprehensive and transparent sensitization of media journalists on TB helps in having sustainable engagement. Furthermore, these media outputs were free and organic, making them more credible and effective, and underlining the potential of this intervention to be scaled up to national and global levels.
