Simulating the ACT3 trial: How TB natural history determines the durability of community screening

Our calibrated trial simulation enables causal decomposition of TB trends and highlights the risks of mischaracterizing natural history. When latent infections dominate, short-term screening alone may yield little lasting benefit. Until more direct measurements are available, simulation-based inference provides a practical way to estimate impact and assess whether individual control strategies are sufficient.
