Biography
Dr. Steve Wandiga is a Kenyan Principal Research Scientist and Acting Deputy Director, Infectious and Parasitic Diseases Research Programme at KEMRI. He holds a PhD in Medical Research, International Health from Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich. With extensive experience in epidemiology related to HIV, TB, malaria, and neglected tropical diseases, he has led numerous clinical trials, published extensively, and helped shape national and regional health strategies. Dr. Wandiga is part of several international research networks and advises the Ministry of Health on policy. He is passionate about translating research into tangible impact and enhancing public health across East Africa.
