Biography
Sofia Payotte is a social psychologist has been collaborating with Epicentre/MSF on projects across sub-Saharan African countries, and is also part of Epicentre's Mixed-Methods Research (MMR) technical support group. Her focus has included socially embedded topics (such as stigma, mental health, tuberculosis, malnutrition) approached through qualitative, mixed-methods, and participatory research frameworks.

Results highlight that communication between HWs and caregivers was shaped by their experiences of pre-existing care pathways and sociocultural beliefs. Implementation of TDAs is an opportunity to support and improve child and family focused communication strategies in different contexts.
