This study emphasizes the complexity of understanding the effects of PZA and EMB resistance on MDR-TB outcomes. Investigations into circulating MDR strains across provinces would be beneficial to this understanding. There is no evidence that PZA and/or EMB resistance influences the TB treatment outcomes and should not be included in this regimen.
