Biography

Dr. Scott Heysell is the Thomas H. Hunter Professor of International Medicine and the Director of the Center for Global Health Equity at the University of Virginia, USA. Dr. Heysell cares for people with infectious diseases across the health system. As a physician scientist he works with partners in settings where tuberculosis is more common including in clinical trials for new drug regimens, diagnostics evaluation and addressing upstream drivers of illness.
