Biography

Savita Kanade is an Anthropologist and working in clinical and community based research since last 30 years. She has implemented various clinical and socio-behavioural research studies ranging from women's reproductive health to infectious diseases mainly TB and HIV. She supervise a team of outreach counselors and is instrumental in participant recruitment and retention in various clinical trials implemented at site.

Characterizing reasons for non-enrollment provide understanding of the trial population and the eventual generalizability of results. Knowing reasons for screen failures and subsequent non-enrollment among those screened for this trial of household contacts is important to minimize gaps in future implementation of TB contact management.
