Samira Bashir is a Lawyer by training with LLB and Certificate in Global health Management. Currently working as Delft Light Active Case Finding Associate for KNCV Nigeria in Kano state, I have supported My Team and Organization towards Active Case Finding in the community and hard to reach areas in Kano state, I have a strong passion towards helping Humanity especially the vulnerable.

Improving finding TB among vulnerable populations using portable digital X-ray (PDX) machine: Experience from Kano State correctional centres
The comprehensive TB case finding strategy using the PDX machine with CAD4TB AI and treatment programme implemented in Kano correctional centres resulted in improved TB case detection and treatment outcomes among inmates. By leveraging existing social networks and cultural capital, we recommend a similar approach across all vulnerable populations in the country.
