Paradigm of ending TB in special populations in Kano State

The PDX intervention significantly improved TB case detection in correctional centres, enabling early diagnosis and treatment in a population that is typically underserved showcasing the potential of innovative tools and targeted interventions to close existing TB care gaps in special populations. Sustaining and scaling up such programs is essential to disrupt TB transmission in closed settings and reduce public health risk both within and beyond prison walls.
