Our study indicates mental health burden even among cured individuals. Most non MDR-TB individuals had first-time encounter to TB and their lack of ability to cope up with the disease seemed to affect their mental health. On the contrary, many individuals with MDR-TB have prior experience of anti-TB treatment and disease coping ability. Our study underscores the need for organising mental health services for the cured individuals as needed.
