Biography

Dr. Ruvandhi Nathavitharana is an Assistant Professor and Attending physician in Infectious Diseases at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and Harvard Medical School. Dr. Nathavitharana’s research uses implementation science to optimize TB diagnosis, reduce stigma, and improve TB care delivery in high TB incidence countries, with a focus on Peru and South Africa, and she has led systematic reviews that have informed WHO guidelines. Dr. Nathavitharana is an Associate Editor for Clinical Infectious Diseases, and serves as Chair of TB Proof, an advocacy organization that seeks to destigmatize TB and mobilize national and global resources to end TB.
