Biography

I am currently working as a Senior Specialist, Global Access Research at the International AIDS Vaccine Initiative (IAVI) in India. I have a breadth of experience working across the maternal and child health domain and infectious diseases, with a focus on understanding the public health system in the country. I drive the statistical domain and evidence/data gap assessments for epidemiology studies in India, and I am also responsible for the execution of the India TB vaccine modeling study

Targeted TB vaccination strategies in India: Impact of risk-based vs. geographic approaches using mathematical modelling

Risk-based vaccine targeting, particularly for individuals with low BMI, may yield greater reductions in TB incidence and mortality than geographic approaches. In practice, however, challenges in identifying and reaching high-risk populations – especially those with low BMI or DM – must be considered in implementation strategies.
