Key Impacts

Evaluation of a novel tongue swab specimen for molecular TB testing on the point-of-care LumiraDx platform

This first clinical evaluation suggests tongue swab testing on the LumiraDx platform may meet TPP thresholds for a non-sputum molecular POC test. Larger clinical validation and implementation studies are warranted to improve precision of accuracy estimates and assess impact on patient outcomes.
