Biography

Prof. Rizanda Machmud is a professor of public health at the Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Andalas, Padang, Indonesia. She specializes in epidemiology, health systems, and disease prevention, with a strong focus on tuberculosis control and community-based health strategies. As an academic leader and public health advocate, she has collaborated with the Ministry of Health and international partners to strengthen national health programs. Prof. Machmud is also deeply engaged in mentoring postgraduate students and promoting evidence-based policy development. Her work emphasizes multisectoral collaboration and person-centered approaches to improve health outcomes across Indonesia’s diverse populations and high-risk communities.
