Biography

Richard is Professor of Infectious Disease Modelling at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, with a particular interest in TB vaccines. He is Director of the TB Modelling and Analysis Consortium and co-leads the TB Modelling Group. Richard led the establishment of LSHTM’s Centre for Mathematical Modelling of Infectious Diseases. He was awarded a Methodology Research Fellowship from the UK MRC in 2009 and the Director's Award for Outstanding Contribution to Research in 2020.
