Biography

Dr Nantanda is a paediatrician and Senior Research Scientist based in Uganda. Her research focuses on child and adolescent respiratory health, including asthma, pneumonia, early-life determinants of lung disease, and the impact of air pollution in LMICs. She has authored over 50 scientific publications.
She co-chairs the Childhood Pneumonia Working Group of the Union and is active in several professional networks, including the Pan African Thoracic Society (PATS), the European Respiratory Society (ERS), and the INSPiRED Ambassadors Forum. She is also a Fellow of the UK MRC/FCDO Africa Research Leaders scheme and a founding member of ECSAPACH.
