Key Impacts
Prevalence of TB infection in school-going children in India: A scoping review
TST positivity among school-going children in India was high and suggests that up to half of all TBI in India occurs before adulthood. Active case finding for TB among school-children in India may be a high-yield strategy and targeting prevention efforts in this population may have population-level impact. Further research is needed to update TBI prevalence estimates among school-children in India and determine the yield of active case finding in this high-risk group.
