Biography

Mr. Raymond Obed grew up in the remote Inuit community of Nain, Nunatsiavut, Canada. Raymond completed a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, a Bachelor of Nursing, and a Master of Nursing degree. He became more involved in systemic issues during a summer job working with the Nunatsiavut Government (NG) on food security in the region. Through that experience, he became more familiar with what different barriers mean for the overall health of Inuit. Raymond now works at Inuit Tapiriit Kanatami (ITK) as a Senior Policy Advisor on the Public Health and Tuberculosis file in the Department of Policy Advancement.
