Biography

Dr. Rakesh Kumar is a teaching faculty at All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi. He has been involved in implementing many community-based research studies including large multi-centric tuberculosis vaccine trial, a trial to assess the role of nutritional interventions in tuberculosis treatment outcomes, influenza vaccine trial, and other epidemiological studies including large multi-centric cohort studies involving surveillance of influenza infection among various high-risk groups in the community setting. Dr. Kumar is also closely involved in HIV sentinel surveillance activities in India. Dr. Kumar has more than 100 publications in peer-reviewed journals to his credit.
