Biography

Dr. Shete is an Associate Professor of Medicine and Epidemiology at the UCSF Center for TB where her research has focused on addressing underlying social and structural determinants of health to improve tuberculosis outcomes for vulnerable populations. Her research program leverages methods in implementation research, social epidemiology, modelling, and health economics that will allow us to better study and understand barriers to care and to provide tools to support national TB programs with the design and implementation of multisectoral interventions. Dr. Shete maintains a clinical practice at San Francisco General Hospital.
