Biography

I am an Assistant Professor at Boston University School of Medicine. My primary interest is in the relationship between undernutrition & TB, which I explore through epidemiological studies in India, Benin, and Togo. I couple these epidemiological studies with health economic modeling to inform policy. Clinically, I have the privilege of working with the amazing trainees of Boston Medical Center on inpatient Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases services. I am also passionate about my work in the Boston Medical Center TB clinic, which serves key and vulnerable populations from around the world.

Rifampin dosing and exposure in undernourished people with TB in India

A lower number of undernourished PWTB reached the rifampin target exposure. A flat 600 mg dose might moderately benefit undernourished PWTB in achieving the Cmax target. However, all participants, regardless of their nutritional status, may benefit from a higher dose of rifampin.
