Biography
As part of the UCSF Center for Tuberculosis, Dr. Patrick Phillips is Associate Professor in the Departments of Medicine and of Epidemiology and Biostatistics. The objective of his research is to design, implement, and optimize clinical trials for new treatments for tuberculosis to deliver safer and more efficacious regimens for patients. He leads aspects of trial design and statistics for clinical trials within a number of networks including PanACEA, UNITE4TB, TBTC, ACTG, and SMART4TB. He has worked on late-phase clinical trials in tuberculosis for more than fifteen years.
