Biography

Dr. Patrick Migambi is a highly experienced public health professional with more than 20 years in the field. He currently serves as the Tuberculosis Division Manager in Rwanda and has held several senior roles in the country’s health system. His work has focused on strengthening TB control through active case finding, community-based care, and the introduction of innovative diagnostic tools. He has championed the scale-up of TB preventive therapy among household contacts and people living with HIV, and promoted the use of digital surveillance. His commitment to data-driven decision-making has improved TB outcomes and informed national health policies.

Prevalence and risk factors for tuberculin skin test positivity in Rwanda: A nationwide cross-sectional study

This study provides the first national estimate of TST positivity in Rwanda and highlights key demographic, behavioral, and clinical risk factors. These findings are critical for informing LTBI screening strategies and optimizing tuberculosis preventive therapy (TPT) to support Rwanda's End TB goals by 2035.
