Biography

I hold an MD degree from Addis Ababa University and postgraduate qualifications from Addis Ababa University and the University of Brighton-University of Sussex (Brighton and Sussex Medical School), UK. Currently, I serve as Research Director at KNCV Tuberculosis foundation, where I lead the implementation of research activities and provide technical support to the Ethiopian National TB Program and regional health bureau. I have published more than 15 articles in international peer reviewed Journals.

Our results confirm high TBI rates in two Ethiopian agrarian communities as compared to the global rate of 24.8%, underscoring the need for enhancing availability and access to community wide screening and provision of TB preventive treatment.
