Biography
Dr. Olesia Medvedieva has extensive experience in tuberculosis (TB) control at both national and regional levels. She coordinates the implementation of TB prevention, detection, diagnosis, and treatment activities across Ukraine. Her work focuses on analytical monitoring of TB program performance, evaluation of the quality of medical care for TB patients, and facilitation of effective collaboration between national and regional healthcare institutions. Dr. Medvedieva organizes and participates in programmatic activities, including working groups, round tables, conferences, seminars, and training sessions aimed at strengthening multisectoral approaches to TB control. She serves as the principal clinician in operational research on drug-resistant TB treatment and contributes to the development and implementation of national clinical guidelines and standards of care. Author of publications in Ukrainian and international scientific journals. Prior to joining the Public Health Center, Dr. Medvedieva headed the outpatient department of a regional TB facility, gaining significant practical experience in managing TB care at the local level.
