Prediction of TB by the QuantiFERON-TB Gold Plus assay in immunocompromised individuals: A prospective TBnet study

In low-endemic settings, TB risk among immunocompromised individuals is low, except among PLHIV with unsuppressed HIV and low CD4 counts. The QFT+ assay remains a poor predictor of TB progression. Moreover, the assay does not meet WHO performance targets as a non-sputum test for diagnosis of active tuberculosis.
