Biography

Dr. Obioma Chijioke-Akaniro is a Pediatrician, Public Health Practitioner and Scientist. She is a Deputy Director and Monitoring and Evaluation Manager at the National Tuberculosis, Leprosy and Buruli Ulcer Control Programme, She joins in conceptualising, operationalising, monitoring and evaluating strategies in Nigeria TB programme and has worked several years informing programme using data trends. She serves as the Secretary of the TB operational research task team and has been involved in Public Health research in and outside the country. She led the development of TB National strategic plan twice in a row and also the implementation of drug resistance survey.
