Biography

Nissy Namuyomba is the Programs Officer at the Association of Persons with Disability Living with HIV&AIDS (ADPHA Uganda). She is a passionate advocate for disability rights, inclusion, and equitable access to health services, especially for persons living with HIV and TB. With a background in community development and public health, Nissy has led various initiatives aimed at promoting disability-inclusive healthcare policies and practices. She coordinates project implementation, stakeholder engagement, and capacity-building activities within ADPHA Uganda. Her commitment to empowering marginalized communities continues to drive her efforts in advancing the rights and wellbeing of persons with disabilities across Uganda

Evidence based advocacy to enhancing integrated TB and HIV service provision among persons with disabilities (PWDs) in Uganda

There is a critical need of strengthening integrated TB and HIV service provision for PWDs. This requires institutional reforms, budget allocations, inclusive planning, disability-sensitive data, and Multisectoral collaboration with OPDs to institutionalise reasonable accommodations and universal design.
