Biography

Dr. Nishant Kumar, graduated from Maulana Azad Medical College (MAMC), Delhi, and holds MD in Community Health Administration from Delhi University. He served as Medical Officer in the Indian Army Medical Corps for five years and has three years of teaching experience in the Community Medicine Department at MAMC. He also served as Deputy Director of the Integrated Disease Surveillance Programme at NCDC, New Delhi. Currently, he is the Joint Director (Public Health) at the Central TB Division, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, and the focal person for laboratory services under the National Tuberculosis Elimination Program.
