Key Impacts

Diagnostic accuracy and reproducibility of the FujiLAM II point-of-care assay to detect TB in stored urine specimens

Sensitivity of the FujiLAM II assay was 50%, as compared to 36% for AlereLAM, in people living with HIV in this study, which is lower than WHO target product profile of 65% for non-sputum point-of-care tests. The assay had reproducible results across multiple lots in both analytical and clinical testing.
