Biography
Dr Aloni is a Medical Doctor by training and by Profession. She holds a Master of Science Degree in Microbiology from the University of Kinshasa. Dr Aloni is a Senior lecturer at the University of Kinshasa, Faculty of Medicine. She is currently the head of National TB Reference Laboratory (NTRL) as part of the National Tuberculosis Programme

Added value of Truenat as a first intention test for the detection of M. tuberculosis in the Democratic Republic of Congo
Performing Truenat test was feasible and user-friendly in settings with limited resources and infrastructure. Truenat presented an additional value of identify more cases of MTB as compared to smear microscopy. These machines are expected to play an important role in identifying missing TB cases.
