A qualified medical professional with a Medicine degree in Community Medicine, have experience working in GFATM supported projects, public health programs under MoHFW, and WHO. Proven credentials in partnerships, providing programmatic support and deliverables at the national, district and sub-district levels. Attended several conferences, workshops, published and presented several papers at national and international forums.

Strengthening TB detection in high-risk populations: Findings from an intensified screening campaign among Indian mine workers

Various studies conducted among mine workers depicted the prevalence of TB ranging from 10.7% to about 32%. In the present study, it was also observed that mine workers 9 % prevalence of TB as well as their MDR-TB 4 % may be due to the delay in diagnosis. Scaling up such interventions will be key to reducing the hidden TB burden and advancing India’s journey toward TB elimination.
