Biography

Morten Ruhwald, MD, PhD, is Chief Medical Officer at NIVI-D in Copenhagen. From 2019 to 2025, he directed the tuberculosis programme at FIND in Geneva. Prior to that, he led the clinical development of the Statens Serum Institut’s vaccine research programme from 2013 to 2019. Morten brings over two decades of global health experience, with a strong focus on vaccine and diagnostic development, clinical trials, and TB innovation, and continues to contribute to translational research and public health.
