Biography

I am a general practitioner from Iran. I am currently living in Canada and doing a Master's degree in Family Medicine at McGill University. I work at McGill International TB Center, and my research is focused on TB preventive therapy and its uptake in primary care. Coming from Iran, I worked and studied at the National Research Institute for Tuberculosis and Lung Diseases, both at the clinical and research levels. Currently, I am more focused on public health research and improving TB prevention at the primary care level.

The uptake of TB preventive therapy among primary healthcare practitioners: A retrospective cohort study from Montreal

The cascade of care of TBI in this primary care setting was very low. Identifying opportunities to support primary care providers in testing for TB infection and follow-up on TPT could meaningfully improve completion rates.
