Biography

Medical doctor currently employed in Region Syddanmark. I graduated from Aarhus University in 2024 and during my studies I became interested in Microbiology and Global Health. As a pre-graduate student I travelled to Guinea Bissau to conduct this project assessing the life expectancy and mortality risk for individuals with TB infection. Through the last years I have dedicated my time to the propagation of Global Health in IMCC activities and as a deputy board member in the Danish Society for Tropical Medicin and International Health.

Key Impacts

Latent tuberculosis infection and life expectancy: A long-term follow-up on a cohort tested with tuberculin skin test

PPD-reactivity seems to be protective in children and young adults, but the effect is age-dependent and so it increases the risk of mortality in older individuals.
