Biography

Luz is a Peruvian MD and a master’s candidate in Epidemiology at McGill University, with training in international humanitarian law. She has contributed to multiple TB diagnostic trials in Peru and previously worked as Trial Manager for the TB Program at FIND, where she led the coordination of the FEND Consortium across Moldova, Peru, and Vietnam. Luz is an active member of the STOP TB Canada, advocating for policy reforms and increased political commitment to end TB in indigenous communities in Canada. She aims to generate policies that improve access to universal health care for people affected by TB.
