Biography

Lorenzo Guglielmetti is a Medical Doctor specialized in Infectious Diseases and an Epidemiologist. His research aims to improve the treatment of tuberculosis and non-tuberculous mycobacterial (NTM) infections. He is currently working as Head of the TB & NTM Clinical Research unit of the IRCCS Sacro Cuore Don Calabria Hospital (Verona, Italy) and collaborating with MSF and the French National Reference Center for Mycobacteria (Paris, France). Dr Guglielmetti is Chair of the Study Group on Mycobacteria (ESGMYC) of the European Society of Microbiology and Infectious Diseases and part of the Steering Committee of the Tuberculosis Network European Trialsgroup (TBnet).
