Biography
Leyla Larsson is a biomedical engineer and data analyst working at the Ludwig Maximillian University Munich. For her PhD, she has used data from the ERASE-TB cohort study to model disease trajectories, aiming to understand how one can best leverage longitudinal observational cohort studies to unpick the natural history of tuberculosis.
Key Impacts
Refining research outcomes: Lessons from the setup of an endpoint review committee in TB observational diagnostic studies
Standardized tuberculosis classification frameworks and real-time expert review can improve diagnostic accuracy and comparability across studies. Future research should integrate ERC processes prospectively to refine tuberculosis case definitions and ensure robust clinical and research outcomes.
