Biography

A Program Manager at TBEC, with abundant experience in efficient coordination of national and regional large-scale projects, including researches. She is a member of the 1/4/6*24 group; WHO working group on TB and pregnancy. Participated in piloting data collection on the four recently introduced by the WHO indicators specific to the WHO European region; MAF-TB initiation and implementation in the region. She contributes to the TB procurement and Market-Shaping Action Team, encompassing the expansion of partnerships and the facilitation of stakeholder engagement and coordination. Additionally, Ms. Tonkonoh is a co-author of diverse publications, showcasing her expertise in the field.

Foundational gender-related health education and training, covering intersectionality between gender and other social determinants, should be fully integrated into national medical training curriculum, post-graduation health workforce training programs to promote gender equality in the workplace and improve TB outcomes through gender-sensitive services.
