Tackling drug-resistant TB in Punjab, Pakistan: Treatment regimens and outcomes from a cohort study

BPaL/M showed high success rates in eligible patients. Despite having less risk factors and baseline resistance than patients on BPaL/M, patients on the STR had poorer outcomes. Moderate levels of baseline bedaquiline resistance is concerning considering bedaquiline is a key drug in all treatment regimens. New drugs are needed to provide treatment options for these patients.
